Co-Biome MetaXplore GI Plus - Gut microbiome testing

The Co-Biome MetaXplore GI Plus test provides a detailed picture of your current gut environment, helping us understand not just what microbes are present, but how they are functioning. It measures:

  • Microbial diversity, richness, and balance (key indicators of a resilient gut)

  • Markers of gut inflammation and barrier integrity

  • Levels of beneficial bacteria that produce short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs)

  • Detection of pathogens, parasites, or microbial overgrowths that may be driving symptoms

  • Functional pathways such as carbohydrate and protein metabolism, bile acid balance, and butyrate production

This gives us a real-time snapshot of your gut health, which we then compare to your DNA Gut results to see how your genetic predispositions are playing out in your current microbiome.

Over 6 months, you’ll receive:

  • Initial Naturopathic Consultation (60 mins)
    A comprehensive holistic assessment where we connect the dots between your health history, diet, genetics, lifestyle, and symptoms. This is where we identify possible root causes and outline the first steps of your personalised holistic health care plan. We’ll order the tests in this consult.

  • Extensive Review Consultation (45 mins)
    While waiting on your Co-Biome and DNA Gut results we’ll go through a Functional Pathology Analysis, report of findings and start addressing your health priorities with a preliminary holistic health care plan and protocol.

  • Co-Biome Gut Microbiome Review, Report and Protocol (60 mins)
    An in-depth discussion of your microbiome test results, covering bacterial diversity, functional metabolites (like short-chain fatty acids), presence of pathogens, and gut barrier integrity. You’ll leave with a detailed report from Co-Biome, a report of findings from me and a  personalised diet, lifestyle and supplementation protocol to rebalance your gut environment.

  • DNA Gut Review, Report of findings and Protocol (60 mins)
    A detailed session dedicated to your DNA Gut results. We’ll explore your genetic predispositions across gut barrier function, microbiome resilience, inflammation, food intolerances, and the gut–brain connection, translating this into practical strategies.

  • Review Consultation (30 mins)
    A review of your health and we adapt your plan based on your changing needs and priorities. These sessions keep your progress on track, while allowing us to troubleshoot challenges and celebrate wins.

  • Brief Review Consultation (20 mins)
    A flexible check-in for quick guidance - perfect for reviewing small updates, acute support (like a flare-up or cold/flu), or for future planning beyond this program. 

  • 5x Personalised Holistic Health Care Plans and x2 gut specific protocols
    Very comprehensive care plans you’ll receive after your consultations, guiding you through targeted nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle strategies to optimise your gut and overall health. There will also be a huge library of resources to refer back to in the years to come.

  • 6x 15-minute Messenger Check-ins
    Regular check-ins via the Practice Better app, where you can ask questions, share updates, and receive guidance (responses within 1-3 business days). I’m super generous with these - there are usually more check-ins during times of significant change. These keep you supported between consultations - think of me as ‘your practitioner in your pocket’ 

Other Inclusions

  • Optional accounts with biometric tracking apps to assist with tracking your progress or providing live biofeedback (eg Nerva App, Guava Health, Inner Balance, Vively Health, Mira app and more) 

  • An account with Vital.ly (V.Rewards access) or similar to order practitioner grade supplements

  • The cost of functional tests will be provided as an estimate after the Strategy Call and in the Initial Consult, however please consider the below additional (optional) costs:

    • DNA Gut is $439 + shipping. Additional DNA test panels at approximately $299 for an add-on. If you want more DNA testing, The Health Optimiser package may be better suited.

    • Co-Biome MetaXplore GI Plus - $485. View a Sample Report on their website

    • There are other gut tests available (eg SIBO test, Microbiomix etc) - a quote will be provided in the Strategy Call.

    • If you’re interested in some of the optional biometric tracking apps (eg Nerva, Vively CGM etc - I can let you know about how much each will cost in a personalised proposal as it depends on several factors and your preferences.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, you can pay in full upfront; Pay a deposit and then monthly instalments. Alternatively, if we set up a custom package you can also choose to pay in two parts.

  • *Subject to change by the testing companies

  • After signing up, you’ll be sent a welcome email with all the details. You’ll be invited to join Practice Better and download the app which is where my online clinic is run from. This is where we’ll have online Zoom consultations and you can upload any documents, access resources, results, diet and lifestyle journals and holistic healthcare plans.

    Your supplements will be shipped direct to you via express post from either Vital.ly (or similar) or my dispensary.

    You will have access to my calendar to be able to make your bookings at your convenience. You’ll also have the ability to message me privately through the app which is exclusive to these packages.

  • There is a 7-day cooling-off period where you can change your mind as long as this is before your first consult. If you need to cancel after this time, please refer to my Cancellation Policy

  • I have a wide array of services and there are plenty of options that don’t include genetic testing. If you’re not sure which is the best one for you, I’d recommend filling out the New Client Application Form and we can arrange a free 15 minute Discovery Call to chat about your needs and health goals.

  • I also use Smart DNA and we can discuss which DNA test/s are going to be right for you in the initial consult. I won’t know which is the test/s for you until we have completed a comprehensive holistic assessment.

    I don’t recommend and I do not use 23andMe or Ancestry DNA for multiple reasons. However, if you already have those results, some genetic SNPs may provide useful insights so I would use that in conjunction with some new tests.

  • No, I don’t test for these genes and I do not screen for high-risk hereditary diseases or cancer. You will need to see a clinical geneticist / genetic counsellor - if you require that, I can refer you to my preferred practitioner.

  • Yes there is the option to buy individual consultations however I do not usually recommend this as it does not come with the extra in-between consult support. The reason I developed this package was because that I saw how much more clients benefit when they get the extra support, education and resources between sessions. However, if you’d still prefer to pay-as-required, just let me know and we can arrange that. I would allow a minimum of 3 consultations spread a month apart (ie Initial consult, extended return consult + return consult/s).

  • Yes, I offer custom packages and I also have “The Health Optimiser” 6 month package if you think you’d like the extra consults and additional functioning testing. If cancer is your concern or main priority, I have a 6 month ‘Holistic Cancer Support’ package. Further, I also offer custom packages where we can create a plan up to 12 months based on your unique needs and health goals.
